Eidos

Aesthetics the artistic platform and contemporary art criticsm are sick with naturalism. Naturalism with all these manifestations, its multiple faces, analyzes only the form of the expression of the natural.

This art only seeks to develop the field of visual experience and nothing more. On the one hand, it is the product of the visual as a human capacity, on the other, it fixes chance and the emotional experience of the empirical existence of the artist in the material world. As expression, it's anarchy.

The artist is not an object among others in an empirical world, neither is he a curious traveler, among other travelers. Painting discovers the image as a circumstance in the historical life of consciousness.

The artist becomes aware of the world by discovering the wealth of its phenomenology and comes to know himself by exploring the wealth of the phenomenological life of human consciousness, as a condition of civilization.

Each phase in the artist's world iss an eventt in his spiritual experience within universal history, thanks to the perspective opened up to him through his revelation and his production. It is, moreover, the dynamic life of his spirit in his material production that contibutes perspective to the pictorial event.

Paintings allow for the discovery of the Universal as unique, not as a symbol in the unity of Nature, but as an Eidos in the unity of History.

In paintings, Eidos is attained through the spiritual purification of the phenomenological, excising everything that is fortuitous and empirical. This is an evolutionary expression.

20th century paintings are abandoned in History, in the concrete of a giving historical situation. Painting is the heroic act of going beyond abandonment to accede to everyone's history. This is how the criterion and new form are acquired, the authentic and veridical standard of the 20th century, History's century.

Objective criticism and comprehension become the sole prerogative of the ancestor, of the descendant, and of the contemporary, that is, of all participants in civilization.
